See the South Dakota Board of Nursing’s Website for additional information about Med Aides Registered and Med Aides Not Registered.

All new medication aides, regardless of setting, who administer medications for clients requiring nursing care, must complete a 20-hour medication administration training program. The only medication aides that need to be registered by the Board are those employed in skilled nursing facilities (SNF/nursing homes), assisted living centers, and hospitals.

See the All Students tab and Facility Students tab for handouts/forms for students.
