No matter when the time comes, our experienced team stands ready 24/7 to deliver your baby. With the expertise that delivers nearly 500 babies each year, your top-quality Avera care team includes physicians, nurses and respiratory therapists certified by the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).

Throughout your stay, enjoy a private, single maternity room designed for continuity of care, which means you’ll remain in one room from labor and delivery to recovery. You’ll also appreciate access to a dedicated nurse who follows your progress and assists your physician.

Should you need high-risk pregnancy care, rely on Avera specialists in obstetrics (OB/GYN) and maternal-fetal medicine (perinatologists) to monitor you every step of the way.

Welcome to the Avera Women’s Center in Marshall. Please take a look at our beautiful facility where you will experience one of the best joy’s of your life.

Upon arrival to the Women’s Center, you will be placed in one of our state-of-the-art labor and delivery rooms. You will remain in this room until after the birth of your baby.

Our labor and delivery rooms feature an HD TV, birthing bed, a storage cabinet holding labor supplies and plenty of space for your belongings, as well as a recliner for your support person.

Your infant will be placed in one of our bassinets during their stay. Infants must be transported to and from the nursery in the bassinet. For safety and security reasons, infants are never to be carried in the hallways.

Breastfeeding is encouraged as the gold standard in infant nutrition, and staff are trained in breastfeeding support to assist you. If you prefer formula over breastfeeding, the hospital supplies Similac products for you to utilize during your stay, and nursing staff can assist you with that request.
