Trust Avera optometrists and ophthalmologists on how to best diagnose and treat a variety of childhood vision problems. Your child’s sense of sight doesn’t fully develop until they turn 8 years of age. This gives parents the opportunity to catch early signs of eye disorders and address them when treatment is most effective. Some eye conditions that get treated during this time can even go away permanently.
