Finding Us: This clinic is located on the Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center campus in the Prairie Center. Find us just west of 23rd Street and Cliff Avenue. Free surface-level parking is available in front of the building, plus we also offer free valet services. Take the elevator to the third floor.

The Avera Breast Center is one of several breast imaging locations throughout Sioux Falls and the region where women can get important breast cancer screenings. Women ages 40+ and women younger than 40 who are at higher risk can get mammograms and more in-depth examination if needed. This center is recognized by the American College of Radiology (ACR) for excellence in care.

Breast Imaging Services

Breast imaging is important both for annual preventive screenings for women age 40 and older, as well as advanced diagnostic imaging and testing to rule out possible cancer in the case of abnormal mammogram results and patients having breast issues.

Mammography Services

Mammograms detect changes in the breast tissue that could indicate early signs of cancer that can be too small to detect on your own. Mammograms are a vital screening tool that can save lives through early detection. Avera offers a breast cancer risk assessment when women come in for their screening mammograms, so they will know if they are at higher risk and should be receiving more frequent imaging or genetic testing.

In addition to 3D mammography in this location, we also offer 3D screenings on our mobile mammography unit that visits sites in South Dakota, Minnesota and Iowa.

Advanced Diagnostics

Avera Breast Center offers 3D mammograms with computer-aided detection (CAD) at this Sioux Falls clinic. Request an appointment at this location or call 605-322-PINK (7465). In addition to 3D mammography at this location, other advanced imaging services include:
