YouTube API and YouTube Videos

Avera Health utilizes YouTube videos and YouTube API Services to provide you with videos throughout Avera Health's connected websites. Avera Health's utilization follows YouTube's Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy. By watching videos on Avera websites and YouTube channels, users agree to be bound by YouTube’s Terms of Service.

When users watch YouTube videos embedded on our websites, Avera does not collect any personal data. Avera does not collect name, email address, contact information or any personal health information (PHI). Avera Health and our websites only collect counts in aggregate of videos viewed and view times for YouTube videos embedded on our websites. Avera uses this data to determine overall, high-level user interest and engagement with these videos. We do not pass or share any of this information to YouTube.

Complaint process

If you have a complaint or problem, or if you believe your privacy rights have been violated, you may contact us by phone. Please indicate the reason for contacting us. Our customer service department will forward your complaint to the appropriate Avera department for response or resolution.
