About Me

When she was job shadowing as a teenager, Molly Uhing, MD, FACOG, witnessed her first baby delivery. Hooked ever since, she never wavered in her desire to be an OB-GYN.

Today, you can trust her for compassionate and expert care in obstetrics and gynecology at Avera Medical Group Obstetrics & Gynecology Sioux Falls.

Dr. Uhing offers comprehensive services in women’s health for patients of all ages. These services include:

I love caring for people. I do my best to educate patients on their options so they can plan their pregnancy, make choices about labor and delivery, or select treatment for a gynecologic condition.

Minimally Invasive Care with Robotic Surgery

One of Dr. Uhing’s specialties is performing single-incision robotic surgery for gynecologic concerns. Avera experts have access to four daVinci® robotic systems to use in performing hysterectomies and myomectomies — the removal of the uterus or uterine fibroids, respectively.

“State-of-the-art technology has revolutionized care for our patients,” said Dr. Uhing. “We’re doing advanced surgeries through 2-centimeter incisions. Our patients can go home the same day, recover faster and experience little to no scarring.”

Active Lifestyle

When she’s not working, you’ll find Dr. Uhing spending time with her husband and four children — which often includes school events and athletics. She also likes lounging near a pool or lake, enjoying home-cooked meals, escaping into a great book, going to the gym or playing, as she calls it, “old-lady tennis.”

Dr.Uhing is a very good Doctor. She's smart, caring and listens to you and gives good advice. Dr. Uhing works in a timely manner and she's nice and so are her Nurses.

Dr. Uhing is a great provider. She is good at providing information in a way that is clear and easy to understand. She listens attentively and is very thorough. I feel like she cares about my desired outcomes for pregnancy and birth. Dr. Uhing has been present in two high stress medical situations for me and I wouldn't have wanted anyone else to handle my care. She is competent and confident, which helped to put me at ease.

Dr Uhing is amazing, I am driving 5 hrs one way to be able to see her and it's absolutely worth it from every aspect

Molly is great when she has time to be in the room with you. It is hard to recommend as timing is not a great strength of this provider.
