About Me

Dr. Kalyan Vunnamadala performs all aspects of adult cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery. He received his medical degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. He completed his residency in general surgery at Easton Hospital in Easton, PA, where he was also Chief Surgical Resident. He completed his residency in cardiothoracic surgery at Texas Heart Institute/Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. Prior to joining North Central Heart Clinic, a division of Avera Heart Hospital, Dr. Vunnamadala was a surgeon at Monument Health, Rapid City SD.

His areas of interest and procedures performed include cardiac surgery, coronary artery bypass surgery, mitral valve and aortic valve surgery, thoracic surgery, esophageal cancer resection, and TAVR, among others.
