Special Interests

Dr. Strand has special interest in all areas of minimally invasive surgery including Single Incision Laparoscopic Surgery (SILS). His interests include general surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, endoscopy, general thoracic surgery, trauma and acute care surgery, endocrine surgery including thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal gland surgery, hernia repair, sclerotherapy, surgical oncology including lymph node biopsies, and obesity surgery including Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, gastric banding, sleeve gastrectomy, and the gastric balloon procedures. Dr. Strand has special training in lymphoscintography and gastric bypass surgery.
