In high school, Kelsey Lee, MD, worked in the cafeteria of Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center in Sioux Falls, SD. Even though she wasn’t a doctor, she knew she was contributing to something greater than herself: the Avera mission.
“I remember a doctor told me that she started in the cafeteria,” said Dr. Lee.
Today, Dr. Lee provides expert care in family medicine, also known as primary care, at Avera Medical Group Sibley in Sibley, IA.
In Sibley, she believes she has an opportunity to care for her community in the doctor’s office, but then also get to know her patients in a whole new way at church or community functions.
