With a physician for a father and nurse for a mother, Dominique Boadwine, MD, witnessed the compassionate and life-changing care her parents delivered to patients. Inspired, she gravitated toward the sciences in school and embraced her passions of hypothesizing, problem solving, research and caring for others.
Today, Dr. Boadwine practices obstetrics and gynecology at Avera Medical Group 69th & Cliff in Sioux Falls, SD.
“Women are amazing. I love building relationships with patients during the appointment,” said Dr. Boadwine. “Also, the ovary is arguably the coolest organ!”
Expert Care in Obstetrics and Gynecology
As an OB/GYN, Dr. Boadwine cares for women from adolescence to post-menopause. In addition to the pregnancy journey, trust her to care for pelvic pain, abnormal bleeding and related conditions of the female reproductive system.

“I love surgery and delivering babies,” said Dr. Boadwine, “and I also enjoy encouraging women during their well-woman visits, which can include topics such as weight-loss goals or mental health concerns.”
Active Lifestyle
When she’s not at work, Dr. Boadwine loves doing crosswords over morning coffee with her husband. They have three children; their sense of wonder and exploration brings joy to Dr. Boadwine and her husband. As for personal hobbies, she enjoys jogging on the trails and oil painting — though “finger painting is more common these days.”
