Finding Us: This family wellness clinic in Sioux Falls, SD, is on South Norton Avenue, near Augustana University. Free parking is available next to the building.

As a program of Avera Behavioral Health, the Avera Family Wellness Program offers therapy services to aid childhood development in partnership with the United Way and the Avera Foundation. Clinical mental health therapists and physicians see patients at partner schools and in-office. Our staff works closely with families identified by the Sioux Falls School District as needing early intervention behavioral health services.

This program offers a positive and encouraging approach focused on family systems and wellness models. Our approach is non-judgmental and supportive in nature. We collaborate and communicate with the school and family to create a team to work together and support a child’s academic, emotional, social, behavioral growth and positive change.

Family participation is the key for change. We welcome and expect parents to attend appointments as directed by your care plan. Together, we will focus on thoughts, feelings, relationships and behaviors within families. The goal is to aim services directly at addressing negative patterns.

Therapeutic Family Services

Avera Family Wellness strives to strengthen families’ well-being by offering therapeutic services and coordination of care between school and home. These services are provided in the school, clinic and home.

This program bills insurance for services provided. Financial assistance for services, co-payments, and deductibles may be available to families who meet income guidelines.
