Avera Research Institute - Rapid City

The Avera Research Institute in Rapid City is leading community research through collaborations and partnerships with the local clinics, hospitals, medical providers and social service agencies to serve the diverse population in Rapid City and surrounding rural communities.

Our projects include:

• Investigator led trials, partnering with telemedicine around the country
• SYNCH Collective: Systems of Native Community Health
• Various projects working with American Indian populations

This expert research team is led by Amy Elliott, PhD, Christine Wey Hockett, PhD, and Arielle Deutsch, PhD, with additional offices in Sioux Falls, Pine Ridge, and Pierre, SD.
