Comprehensive Abuse Services for Children

Our multidisciplinary team provides confidential and compassionate services for children who have allegedly been maltreated. Count on our high-quality medical evaluation, which is designed to reduce additional trauma by limiting the number of times a child is interviewed.

Our services allow law enforcement, child protection, mental health advocates and prosecutors to work together to assess child abuse allegations. We're committed to ensuring that children are not further victimized by the systems designed to protect them.

We also provide crisis intervention, ongoing victim assistance and referral to effective after-care for alleged victims, including non-offending family members.

Referrals for Care

After other agencies have been notified as required, law enforcement, child protection and health care providers can refer a child to the Central South Dakota Child Assessment Center.
