Recover and return to the activities you enjoy. After a hospital stay due to critical illness or injury, rehabilitation is often the next step in regaining as much mobility, speech, life skills and independence as possible. At this unit, board-certified physiatrists and nurse practitioners lead care teams and monitor medical care, including three hours of therapy, five days a week. They treat a wide range of ages from adolescents to older adults and refer patients to specialists as needed.
