About Me

Nephi Jones, DPM, has served as a police officer and a paramedic. Ready for the next step in life, Dr. Jones decided pursuing medicine was a worthwhile choice.

As a paramedic, he encountered many foot and ankle situations, and met several podiatrists as well. These experiences solidified the specialty he wanted to practice.

Today, Dr. Jones serves as a podiatric surgeon at Avera Medical Group Specialty Care in Brookings, SD.

“Patients understand their body better than anyone,” said Dr. Jones.

Through active listening, Dr. Jones uses the valuable input he gathers to create a plan of effective options. Together, he and the patient are then able to arrive at a treatment plan that suits the patient’s needs and lifestyle.

When he is not working, Dr. Jones enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking and fishing.

“If we’re driving and we see a sign for a state park, we just have to stop and explore,” said Dr. Jones.

He was amazing, I love that he didn't make me feel like I was alone, he made sure that I was heard explained his plan to me and made sure that I agreed with it, he didn't ignore my problems and didn't make me feel like I was alone in this.
